A lovely clean and welcoming guest house home from home. Very comfortable bed and in a quiet spot too, owners very helpful as well as a hearty breakfast provided. Safe secure parking though not at the premises just a short walk away - highly recommended
On arrival we were met with a very warm welcome from the hosts Kevin and Tracey who showed us to our room which didn't disappoint, the room was very modern and clean with an aray of teas and coffees also hot chocolate and biscuits. The bed and bedding made for a very comfy night sleep. There was a good selection on the breakfast menu and can highly recommend the cooked breakfast and the poached eggs with avocado. Great value for money will definitely stay again. Great location for the shops and bus routes to the lakes
My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Melrose and left wishing we'd booked for even longer. From the spotless and comfortable room to the freshly cooked homemade breakfast in the morning, it's a fantastic base to explore the Lakes. The owners, Tracy and Kevin, are warm and friendly, and very accommodating. We will definitely be back in the summer.
