Loughrigg Fell is a 335 m (1,099 ft) fell in the heart of the Lake District, easily reached from Ambleside, Grasmere or Rydal. The walk is moderate, offering varied terrain, including woodland tracks, the famous Loughrigg Terrace, Rydal Cave, and sweeping views over Rydal Water, Grasmere, Elter Water and Windermere from the summit.
Paths are well-trodden though rocky and may be slippery in wet weather. Start from car parks in Ambleside or White Moss Common. Ideal for families with some walking experience, photographers, or those looking for a half-day out in nature.
