Guildford Golf Club is Surrey’s oldest golf club. The 18-hole, par-69 parkland course sits atop the Merrow Downs on chalk terrain, offering superb drainage and year-round play, with excellent views from Guildford Cathedral to Canary Wharf on clear days. Visitors can enjoy full facilities including an outdoor driving range, short game practice area, putting & chipping greens, and “The Bunker” indoor coaching studio with launch monitor & club-fitting equipment.
The clubhouse—originally built in 1901 and refurbished in 1998—has several bars and a dining kitchen with a terrace overlooking the 18th green. Visit in off-peak hours for better rates; weekend and summer fees are higher.
