Carnwath Golf Club, founded in 1907, is a scenic 18-hole parkland course on Gallow Hill, just west of the village of Carnwath. Measuring 5,953 yards (par 70), it offers gently rolling fairways, excellent greens, and a unique start where three of the first four holes are par 3s. Visitors are especially drawn to “Amen Corner” (holes 5–8), where roads and a railway line make accuracy more important than power, followed by stunning views from the 9th tee.
The club is well-known for being visitor-friendly year-round, with no handicap certificate required. Facilities include a driving range, putting and chipping areas, a pro shop, and the welcoming Caddyshak restaurant serving hearty meals and refreshments. Its location, just a short drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, makes it an ideal stop for tourists seeking an authentic Scottish golfing experience in the heart of Lanarkshire.
