Adventure Wonderland in Hurn, Christchurch (near Bournemouth Airport) is a family-friendly adventure park that combines indoor & outdoor fun across about 20 acres. The attraction began in 1992 with its iconic Alice in Wonderland maze (designed by Adrian Fisher), which remains its heart. Outdoors, there used to be over 30 rides & attractions geared toward younger children; as of 2023-2024 many outdoor rides have been closed or scaled back amid cost pressures, but the indoor play centre "Wild Thing!" still runs and hosts birthday parties and seasonal events.
The offering includes adventure play, character meet & greets (think Alice, the Mad Hatter etc.), a natural hedge maze, cafés and shops, and plenty of spaces to relax. It’s a great value day out for families with young children, particularly when weather turns or for school holiday events.
