We’re excited to share that Appleby Carnival will be returning in 2026, bringing colour, energy, and celebration back to the streets of Appleby-in-Westmorland. The event is scheduled to take place over three days: Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, and Sunday 12th July 2026.
After time away, this year’s carnival is set to be a fantastic comeback, and organisers are hoping to make it bigger and better than ever before. Plans are already underway for a lively parade filled with creative floats, themed displays, and walking groups of all kinds. It’s a great opportunity for local organisations, schools, clubs, and friends to get involved and showcase their ideas, costumes, and community spirit.
In addition to the parade, there is also a warm invitation for owners of classic and vintage vehicles to take part, helping to add a touch of nostalgia and variety to the celebrations. Whether you’re planning to enter a float, join as a walking group, or bring along a beautifully restored vehicle, your participation will help make this a truly memorable occasion.
