This guest house comes with a very special garden. Green-fingered Falmai and Gareth Roberts have created an award-winning country garden of terraces, fountains and arches bursting with colour and fragrance. They have worked wonders with Tal-y-Bryn, too.
Their secluded 16th-century farmhouse has been immaculately furnished and decorated in country style, with attractive bedrooms (two with spa baths). More awards have been heaped on their Llaeth y Llan yoghurts, made from locally produced milk and sold in over 20 flavours in Wales and England – you’ll find some on the delicious breakfast menu.
Falmai and Gareth offer a warm, homely welcome. Tal-y-Bryn’s peace, quiet and wonderful views across the fertile Vale of Clwyd make it the perfect place to unwind. Its idyllic location also offers easy access to the North Wales coast and historic Denbigh, St Asaph and Ruthin.
Pets are not allowed inside the property however there are kennels in the garden that can be used for a small fee if requested.

Spacious beautiful room with a seating area where you could also watch TV. Nice spacious breakfast room with a delicious breakfast that was prepared for you. This b@B is definitely recommended. Very friendly and welcoming owners. As a bonus we got a nice tour of the factory
We stayed 3 nights, words cannot describe fully how nice and helpful Gareth and Falmai are, nothing was too much trouble for them. We were on a walking holiday so transport was a problem for us, Gareth and Falmai were just wonderful helping us with all the transport. The guest house is in a lovely secluded area, the rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. We started the day with a hearty Welsh breakfast with a choice of yogurts made on the farm.
Probably the most quiet place I've ever stayed! At night, all you could hear was the wind and an occasional contented mooing from the dairy herd up on the hill. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the family were ever so welcoming (Welsh speaking for those to whom such things matter, like me), the breakfast was superb and we were made to feel totally at home from the minute we got there. Incidentally, they make their own yoghurts, and they are superb. A wonderful addition to the (beautifuly cooked) brecky. The garden, which has won awards, is a joy to behold. All credit to Falmai and Gareth. We all liked it so much, we've already arranged to back in September, and you can't get a higher recommendation than that!
I stay in a lot of B&B's - this farmhouse rates very highly indeed. Gareth and Falmai are extremely good hosts, their warmth and generosity ensures that this B&B really stands out. My room was delightful, dinner was good home-cooking and breakfast was a great start to my day (do try the yoghourts made on farm). I would return here anytime!
