QUEENS PARK & BOATING LAKE

Victoria Avenue, Crewe, Cheshire

In 1887 the Grand Junction Railway company provided Crewe with a delightful 45 acre Victorian park - Queens Park - one of the most splendid in the north of England.

Its oval plan has a principal central axis with an ornamental boating lake.

Playground for children with swings, slides, etc, putting, crazy golf and pets corner.

The Borough of Crewe and Nantwich - "the Floral Borough" - has seen both its towns have success in the "Britain in Bloom" competition in recent years.
