Built in 1875 by Edward Fuller Sewell, an uncle of Anna Sewell, and the author of the novel Black Beauty. A Victorian stone built residence in the centre of the picturesque village of Goathland.
The house is more recently famous as Dr. Ferrenby's surgery in the Yorkshire TV series Heartbeat.
