Perched 1,000 feet above sea level on a gently undulating plateau, Llandrindod Wells Golf Club is a classic upland/links style course designed by Harry Vardon in 1905, with later enhancements by James Braid. Measuring 5,759 yards (par 69), it plays shorter than many but its turf banks, slopes, natural hazards and true, well-protected greens make every hole a test of precision rather than brute strength.
The 18th, known locally as “Death or Glory”, is a famed finishing hole: a relatively short par-four under 300 yards but prone to causing frustration for those who misjudge the drop into the ravine below.
Comfortably equipped, the club offers a driving range, pro shop stocked with major brands, restaurant and licensed bar, and pleasant clubhouse atmosphere with excellent food. Society & visitor tee bookings are welcomed—bring your good swing, and your sense of adventure.
