Carr Lodge Orchard Chalets consists of five 'log cabin' Forestry Commission style wooden chalets in the North York Moors National Park, three of which have been recently refurbished – please see our website.
A peaceful location for a holiday/short break and ideal base to explore the stunning countryside, 'Herriot' and 'Heartbeat' country, numerous local villages and market towns of Pickering and Helmsley. Castle Howard Stately Home and the North York Moors Steam Railway are close by in addition to Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage coast. York itself is just a short drive. Ampleforth hosts a village shop, two pubs and a post office. Nearby Ampleforth College has a full size Olympic swimming pool, a sports centre, squash courts, and golf course.
Each chalet has its own brick built barbeque for guests use. Pets are welcome on a lead. One car per lodge.
