Nestled in the heart of Kent, Biddenden Vineyards is Kent’s original vineyard, owned by the Barnes family since 1969. Spread over gently sloping, south-facing vines, the estate grows multiple grape varieties to produce a range of award-winning still and sparkling English wines. There’s also cider and apple & pear juices made on site.
From May through September visitors can enjoy self-guided tours (with tasting flights included), or book open or private guided tours on small and friendly group sizes. After exploring the vines, the vineyard shop offers a delightful selection of local and artisan foods—cheese, charcuterie, snacks—along with their wines, ciders, and juices. There’s often a sharing board to enjoy in the shop yard, making it an ideal stop for couples, foodies, or those simply seeking a relaxing day out.
