Wheelchair access to the ground floor and the Scott Museum. This local history museum offers visitors the chance to discover the rich history of Hawick and environs. Displays feature topics such as the internationally renowned local knitwear and hosiery industry, natural sciences, military history and a varying programme of temporary exhibitions. The Scott Gallery hosts changing exhibitions of contemporary art including works from the permanent collection of 19th and 20th Century Scottish paintings and sculpture. The Jimmie Guthrie and Steve Hislop rooms showcase the lives and achievements of Hawick's two motorcycle racing champions. Opening in 2015 - WW1 & Gallipoli exhibition opens late June. New environmental education gallery celebrating flora and fauna you can discover in Wilton Lodge Park opens late March.
