Formed in 1933 and has grown from the original 9 holes, basically the existing back 9, to its current 18-hole layout when the 4th, 5th and 6th holes were opened in 1971.
These holes are in England, the rest of the course is in Wales. The 4th hole is unique in that you drive off in Wales and putt out in England.
Situated on the site of a Roman Hill Fort and research exists to give evidence that Caractacus fought one of his last battles here against the Roman invaders.
A member of the Shropshire and Herefordshire County Union and although being 80% in Wales is affiliated to the English Golf Union. Facilities include buggy hire, practise area, putting green, well-stocked pro shop and clubhouse with full catering facilities.
