The Willow & Wetlands Visitor Centre, home of Coates English Willow, is an award-winning attraction situated in the rural village of Stoke St Gregory in the heart of the Somerset Levels. It is the last remaining commercial centre in the UK dedicated to the cultivation and processing of willow, an industry that has defined the unique wetland landscape for centuries.
The Coates family has been growing "withies" (willow rods) and making willow products since 1819, maintaining a tradition that showcases an environmentally friendly crop and a highly skilled craft.
