SHERWOOD PINES VISITORS CENTRE

Managed by Forest Enterprises - part of the Forestry Commission - it is the largest woodland open to the public in the East Midlands.

A working forest - Sherwood Pines is an important timber producing forest.

Pines, heath and oak trees are havens for wildlife including birds such as the nightjar and of course the fallow deer.

A superb visitor centre with a cafe providing refreshments and a cycle hire shop.

There are waymarked trails, with an easy access trail for disabled visitors.

Cycle routes are marked, the routes offer choices to suit everyone from families to off-road cyclists.
