Nestling on the eastern side of the Malvern
Hills, The Worcestershire Golf Club can lay
claim to being the oldest club in the Midlands
and a fairly senior one, in terms of age, in
England. As a golf course it presents a fair
test of any golfer's ability and scenically it
would be hard to find one more aesthetically
pleasing. The course has plenty of natural
hazards in the form of streams and ponds, a
sufficient number of bunkers to induce a sense
of accuracy, plenty of out of bounds which
present a problem to the strong hooker and
greens which are of a kind to test the putting
ability of even the most experienced golfer.
Parkland course, heavily wooded with the River
Avon running alongside 5th and 14th holes, some
tight fairways and good club selection is
required, Nine greens playing off eighteen tees.
Parkland course that uses natural hazards to
maximum benefit. Well wooded, the course also
features numerous ditches and large ponds. The
greens are in good condition, having been
rebuilt in 1996/97. No card is secure until the
testing par 4 14th has been completed.
Parkland course, long par 4's and tricky
approach shots to well guarded greens make this
course very interesting, the course is well kept
and offers a good challenge to players of all
standards, clubhouse facilities. Situated one
mile from Stourbridge on the A4147.

An 18 hole golf course set in 120 acres is one
of natural beauty, gently undulating and well
planted with a great variety of splendid trees.
A feature is the large number of conifers, the
majority being Corsican Pine. The course,
designed by Dr Alistair Mackenzie, is 6251
yards, par 70, a fair test of golf but the
narrow, well guarded greens have ruined many a
good game.
