Just a short drive from Telford, Broseley is famous as the one-time centre of clay pipe manufacture, a heritage celebrated in the town’s evocative Clay Tobacco Pipe Museum. It was also the base of ironmaster John Wilkinson, the man who commissioned the world’s first iron bridge across the River Severn at Ironbridge.
