Places to eat & drink in Wolverhampton.

The City of Wolverhampton was initially a market town trading in wool, but once industrialised it became a major manufacturing centre, with the mining of coal and iron ore at its heart.
These industries have come and gone, and today it is a city of mixed cultures and creativity and one of the main retail centres for the West Midlands. It is a Fairtrade city and a Gold Award winner in the England in Bloom competitions and attracts thousands of visitors a year through its excellent transport networks, including its many canals where holidaymakers can arrive by a more tranquil mode of transport.
There are a fantastic amount of shops in buildings historic and new, and an abundance of theatres, art galleries and museums of all kinds including: the historic Grand Theatre; the Arena Theatre; Wolverhampton Art Gallery; Black Country Living Museum, and Eagle Works Studios and Gallery to name but a few. As well as a variety of scenic parks, gardens and sporting venues.
