Dudley Zoological Gardens with its rare animal species is always a popular
place to go too with the ancient and peaceful ruins of Dudley castle within its
grounds. The Black Country Living Museum is a world class 'living' museum - a fantastic attraction for all the family covering 26 acres. Many of the area's heritage buildings have been moved and rebuilt in the museum to form old fashioned streets from its industrial days. There are glass works, coal mine displays, working electric trams, different varieties of vehicles, exhibition areas and houses, shops, studios, all staffed by people wearing traditional period costume.
