Places to eat & drink in Solva.

This is an attractive and picturesque little village with a small sheltered harbour, a variety of small shops selling crafts, clothes, etc., pubs & eating places.

Solva stands in a deep valley gouged out by water melting from glaciers and its position made it ideal as a base for trading ships in the 18th century. When the tide is in, the valley fills slowly with water but when the tide goes out, the boats are left high and dry - ideal in the past for unloading cargoes. Today, apart from a few local fishermen, the harbour is used only by pleasure craft.

We cannot give a full list of all available food outlets but below is a small selection of those available in Solva or surrounding areas.

We are located at the heart of the pretty harbour-side village of Solva in a charming 18th century house with many of the original features remaining. We enhance the olde world atmosphere by serving our various loose-leaf teas in porcelain teapots. The focus is on home-cooked food using fresh local produce. We offer morning coffee, light lunches, home-made soups and afternoon teas including Pembrokeshire clotted cream teas. For those who enjoy hot-out-of-the-oven food, watch out for our "just out of the oven" board!
