| This village
near Bridgend boasts the ‘cathedral of the
Vale,’ the beautiful Church of St Crallo,
which was built in the 13th century on the
site of an 8th century building. With a high
roof and lofty interior it contains effigies
and a monument to Arthur Williams, founder of
the National Liberal Club. In the churchyard
is the grave of Thomas Richards, the local
curate and compiler of an English-Welsh
dictionary. |
