from an experienced rider simply hiring a horse for the
odd hour to residential riding courses for absolute
beginners. This section is intended to include
Riding Schools and Riding Centres, Residential Riding
Holidays, Pony Trekking, etc.

Open Easter to end
October, daily. Ellesmere Riding Centre is a
small family run centre with 25 horses - strong
fit Welsh cob or cob crosses, ideal for the
terrain.
Situated in the Black
Mountains within the Brecon Beacons National
Park at the edge of Llangorse Lake, the largest
natural body of water in South Wales. To the
south are the magnificent Brecon Beacons, with
the Black Mountains the destination of our trail
rides away to the east. Approved by, and member

all ages, in the superb Welsh mountain riding
country of the Black Mountains and Brecon
Beacons.
Bunkhouse available for
group bookings. Horse Bed & Breakfast available
to guests bringing their own horses.
At the Heart
of Wales Riding School we have over 20
hand picked horses and ponies from Frosty
11.2 hands to Marmalade who is 16.3
hands.
Pony Club Centre Approved. Our
facilities include one large indoor
school, one all-weather outdoor arena and
a few Cross Country fences.
Instruction is given by British Horse Society
qualified and experienced staff who will help you
to improve your knowledge in stable management,
looking after your horse, and in all spheres of
riding, including trekking in our unspoilt
countryside.
