The Mid Wales
Paragliding Centre was established to address
the specific training needs of people who are
interested in the sport of Paragliding. We are a
small business run by qualified professionals,
based on the outskirts of Aberystwyth, a
principal sea side holiday resort and
administrative centre for the west coast of
Wales. We operate both standard and tailor made
courses offering professional paragliding
training to individuals, groups and corporate
groups.
All the schools in the UK
qualified to teach paragliding operate under the
British Hanggliding and Paragliding Association
(BHPA), Which is recognized by the appropriate
government bodies as the UK national governing
body of the sports of hanggliding and
paragliding. Their objectives include promoting
high standards of safety through the pilot and
instructor training and qualification scheme, as
well as liaising with other bodies such as the
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Sports
Council.
Paramania is a registered British Hang Gliding
and Paragliding School that teaches anyone from
the complete beginner right through to advanced
pilot, the skill required enjoying this
exhilarating sport. We are located in Mid Wales
(near Builth Wells) where the steep sided but
flat-topped mountains are perfect for learning
to fly.
A group of like minded individuals, who all
enjoy the sport of Hang Gliding & Paragliding in
the Mid Wales region. Please be aware that they
do not teach and that some of the sites used by
the club are for members only. Please contact
