Fron Farm Fishing
Holidays - The Fishery is situated at Bontnewydd
near Bronant in unspoilt countryside in a
beautiful setting. Approximately 6 miles from
Tregaron, 12 miles from Aberystwyth and 6 miles
from the beach at Llanrhystud. It is open all
the year around.
There are three lakes which
are all well stocked with top quality fish,
rainbow trout, brown trout up to double figures
in weight, as well as, innovatively, atlantic
salmon up to eight pounds. The coarse fishing
lake is stocked with tench, golden orfe and a
large variety of black carp and rainbow trout.
Coarse fishing tackle & bait are available. Club
competitions are catered for by arrangement.

Lakeside Caravan &
Camping Park is situated adjacent to Llangorse
Lake in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National
Park and Black Mountains. Surrounded by the
stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons, the
Caravan and Camp Site offers many opportunities
for those interested in outdoor activities.
Llangorse Lake is the
largest natural lake in South Wales and is
renowned for its Pike Fishing. Canoes, sailing
dinghies, rowing boats and pedaloes can all be
hired from Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park,
water- skiing is also permitted on the lake.
Llangorse village offers pony trekking, an
indoor climbing centre and two local pubs and
there is a huge choice of footpaths and bike
trails within the Brecon Beacons National Park,
or, from the Caravan & Camp Site you can follow
the footpath around Llangorse Lake. The Coarse
fishing lake is stocked with Bream, Roach, Pike,
Perch, and Eel.
Running alongside the
River Usk, this is a narrow and picturesque
canal where anglers who prefer the pace of slow
flowing waters can fish for trout, carp, dace
and perch. The towpath at Talybont provides for
wheelchair access.

office at The Wharf, Govilon, Nr Abergavenny

by walking through Newtown Recreation Park.
Permits can be obtained via Severnside and
Newtown Angling Club. The river is stocked with
Dace, Roach, Chub, Grayling, Brown trout,
Salmon, Perch, Pike, Gudgeon, and Bream.

The River Twymyn flows
from the 130 feet (40 m) high Ffrwd Fawr
Waterfall at the head of the Pennant Valley near
Dylife, through Llanbrynmair and joins the River
Dyfi upstream of Cemmaes Road.

Aberystwyth’s exciting
new Ł9 million Marina named Y Lanfa opened for
business in 1995. The picturesque harbour of the
West Wales seaside town has been dramatically
remodelled to provide permanent berths for over
160 vessels, signalling a major boost for the
University town and Mid Wales Tourism.
The Marina offers a fully
serviced facility including: Fully Staffed
Marina Office, Controlled Boat Movements,
Electricity, Water, Diesel, Trolleys, 24 hour
CCTV, Diesel Slipway, Boat Lifting (up to 10
tonnes), Luxury Toilet and Shower Facilities.
The Welsh Harbours of Fishguard, Cardigan, New
Quay, Aberaeron, Barmouth, Porthmadog, Aberdyfi,
and Abersoch are within easy reach, as are the
Marina’s at Pwllheli, Conwy, Milford Haven and

sailors the Marina’s and harbours of Ireland’s

Registered, fully insured and licensed for eight
people, the Bilko targets all types of fish,
specialising in bass and sea bream. A special
2-hour mackrel trip is run for the kids and
family.
Ma Chipe offers the angling enthusiast the
chance to catch a wide variety of species, tope,
bream, huss, and bass. The trips are on average,
6-10 hours long. Tackle hire available for Ł5
