One of the
highest villages in the Mendip Hills, Priddy
once lay at the heart of a widespread lead
mining industry. The workers often frequented
the isolated Castle of Comfort Inn. Nearby is
a set of prehistoric barrows and the huge
limestone cleft known as Ebbor Rocks.
