waist high in waders in a swift-flowing river, or
fighting to land a large fish out at sea, in Exmoor and West Somerset
area, this page is intended to help you source the

Oxenleaze is renowned for its excellent coarse
fishing. The farm owns 3 lakes, which occupy 2
acres of the valley, only a short walk (500m)
from the doorstep. Stocked with carp,
tench, roach, rudd and bream. Free to residents!
Beach fishing can be found at Porlock Weir and
Blue Anchor, catches of bass, cod, conger, dog
fish, skate and whiting are reported. The tides
can be fierce and high so care is needed. Boat
trips operate from Minehead, Watchet, Lynmouth
and Ilfracombe.
