Village shops a choice of inns and renowned restaurants can be found in Lifton and Chillaton (both 1½ miles) and nearby Roadford Lake offers watersports fishing and level lakeside walks. Within 6 miles both historic Launceston and Tavistock provide excellent shops and sporting facilities whilst Dartmoor Bodmin Moor and several National Trust properties are all easily accessible. The Eden Project and superb sandy beaches on the north and south Cornish coast and the South Hams are all under 45 minute drive.
