Since opening in July 1998, Mimas has proved to
be one of the most popular restaurants in the
bay. This is down to the superb combination of
atmosphere, style, excellent service and of
course, wonderful food. The menu is a varied,
cosmopolitan affair offering starters and main
courses which change every day so that regular
diners don't eat their way through it. Starters
include baby spinach salad with hot smoked bacon
and a creamy garlic sauce, fresh Torbay
scallops, Thai fishcakes, moules marinière or a
delicious dim sum selection with dipping sauces.
The chef is keen to use only fresh seasonal
produce and it really does pay dividends.
