This picturesque village is
protected from gales by the dramatic Nare Head
allowing sub-tropical plants to flower unmolested
among the whitewashed cottages, many of which are
thatched.
Curiously, some of these properties were built
without corners to prevent the Devil himself from
gaining entrance.
