A beautiful old fishing
village, Saltash is known as the gateway between
Devon and Cornwall and is overshadowed by Brunel’s
great 19th century rail bridge, the Royal Albert.
There are many charming houses and the remains of
Trematon Castle. Ince Castle - built in 1642 at
the start of the English Civil War - has four
three-storey towers. It burned down in 1986 but
has now been rebuilt. |
