 | Camping Bassegoda Park Albanya Surrounded by mountains alongside the Muga river, Bassegoda Park is a place to experience Spain in a natural environment but with a touch of luxury. This totally rebuilt site is in Albanya on the edge of the Alta Garrotxa National Park in an area of great beauty. | Kawan Village Mas Nou Castelló d‘Empúries Some two kilometres from the sea on the Costa Brava, this is a pristine and surprisingly tranquil site in two parts split by the access road. One part contains the pitches and toilet blocks, the other houses the impressive leisure complex. There are 450 neat, level and marked pitches on grass and sand, a minimum of 70 sq.m. but most 80-100 sq.m, and 300 with electricity (10A). The leisure complex is across the road from reception and features a huge L-shaped swimming pool with a paddling area. | Open: | ||

| Camping Caravaning La Laguna Castelló d‘Empúries La Laguna is a relaxed, spacious site on an isthmus within a Catalan national maritime park, on the migratory path of many different birds. It has direct access to an excellent sandy beach and the estuary of the river Muga (also a beach). The owners continue to spend much time and effort on improvements. The double lagoons are a most attractive feature. The 773 pitches (with just 41 mobile homes) are shaded and clearly marked on grass and sand, all with 6/10A electricity. | Camping Nautic Almata Castelló d‘Empúries In the Bay of Roses, south of Empúriabrava and beside the Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, this is a high quality site of particular interest to nature lovers (especially bird watchers). Beautifully laid out, it is arranged around the river and waterways, so will suit those who like to be close to water or who enjoy watersports and boating. It is worth visiting because of its unusual aspects and the feeling of being on the canals, as well as being a superb beachside site. A large site, there are 1,109 well kept, large, numbered pitches, all with electricity and on flat, sandy ground. | Open: | ||

| Camping Castell Mar Castelló d’Empúries This traditional-style and pricy site is a 450 metre walk from one of the very pleasant Gulf of Roses beaches (one of the closest beach gates is not used), and within the large Aiguamolls de l’Empordà nature reserve. It is also convenient for (but quite separate from) the latest tourist development and facilities at Empuria Brava. With some 300 pitches, it is smaller than many sites in this part of Spain and may be suitable for some families. The pitches, most with electricity, are of average size for the Costa Brava and are on level ground with some artificial shade added to the natural shade from the trees. | Open: | ||
