Located approximately 20 miles from the centre of Bournemouth is Monkey World, whose mission is to assist governments to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild.

At the Centre the refugees of this barbaric trade are rehabilitated into natural living groups.

Sheltered by the Chesil Beach for more than 600 years, this colony of friendly mute swans has made its home at the Abbotsbury Sanctuary. This ancient and unique site provides protection for hundreds of nesting swans and their broods.

Kingston Maurward House was originally built around 1720 for George Pitt, a cousin of Prime Minister Pitt and now forms the grounds of Kingston Maurward College. The campus attractions include; a commercial farm, animal care unit, parkland, with formal gardens and the Equestrian Centre.
