Recorded in the Doomsday book, Yeovil is a thriving market town with high street shops and retailers, craft and specialists shops with a flavour of the West Country, and an excellent indoor shopping centre.

During the week you will find regular markets including a farmers market, and for those who enjoy the arts there are two good theatres and an first-rate arts centre. There are a host of other activities for the family to enjoy including a ski-centre, golf club, cinema, swimming pools, ten pin bowling etc. A must-see is the Fleet Air Museum, one of the largest aviation museums in the world with many historic and modern aircraft, a visit to this will suit all ages.
