Camping sites, touring caravan parks, campgrounds, trailer parks in Castle Cary.
A powerful Norman castle once dominated this picturesque market town which is famous as the base of Britain’s only company still weaving horse-hair as part of the manufacture of textiles. The town centre has an 18th century ‘Round House’ – one of only a handful still surviving – and a museum housed in an 18th century building. The George Hotel is a coaching inn dating to the 13th century.
Nearby is Hadspen House gardens and the remarkable Haynes International Motor Museum, the UK’s largest exhibition of the world’s greatest cars. It boasts 11 display halls, one of the UK's largest speedway collections and a collection of military vehicles.
