This scenic community railway runs regular services through mid-Devon to the northern hills of Dartmoor National Park. 15.5 miles long, running from Meldon Quarry to Coleford Junction near Yeoford. From Meldon you can walk into Dartmoor National Park or take in the views of Yes Tor and High Willhays from the viaduct. Cyclists welcome. (Standard Gauge).

South Devon Railway Trusts operates steam trains with heritage rolling stock on the old Great Western Railway branch line. The seven mile line runs from Totnes to Buckfastleigh via Staverton with attractions and places to visit. In a stunning setting Buckfastleigh station has a museum, historic locomotives, gardens, walks, refreshments and gift shop. (Standard Gauge).
