Twinned with Bockenem in Germany, Thornbury is a pleasant market town in South Gloucestershire not far from the city of Bristol. It's far enough away to have a character of its own, and was awarded its town charter in 1252.
Thornbury is holder of the Britain in Bloom award and ever enthusiastic, runs its own Thornbury in Bloom competition.
