Lewes Camping and Touring Van sites
Camping sites, touring caravan parks, campgrounds, trailer parks in Lewes.
The atmospheric and mainly Georgian county town of East Sussex, on the banks of the River Ouse was settled by the Saxons, and features the ruins of a 12th century castle. Henry III was defeated here by rebellious barons led by Simon de Montfort in the early 13th century. Annually, during the month of November, locals turn out en masse for a torchlight procession and a fireworks display, held in memory of martyred Protestants.
