The atmosphere at Compton Abbas is
relaxed and friendly, enthusiastic people
congregate to do what they enjoy most -
fly.
You will find the club staff attentive and well
informed, and doing their utmost to accommodate
the requests and schedules of their clients, old
and new. As you would expect the weekend is the
busy time with members making the most of their
leisure time, the aircraft and the weather.
Whether you are visiting with family, friends or
on your own, you will receive a very warm welcome,
and you will thoroughly enjoy your day out. Pilots
have full use of the purpose-built flight planning
and briefing rooms with all that's required to
prepare well for lessons and flights. We have a
well stocked pilot shop and the airfield is
fortunate to have an excellent restaurant and
fully licensed bar, both available during the day.
Few places could equal the home cooked fare and
spectacular views from one of England's highest
and most picturesque aerodromes.
The Trial lesson: Many of us have looked up into
the sky and wondered what it would be like to
fly an aeroplane, well now you can and it's much
easier than you think! At Solent School of
Flying we believe in the hands on approach. Gift
vouchers can be purchased as a present or a
business reward, vouchers can be redeemed up to
six months after the date of purchase, We can
take credit / debit cards over the phone and the
voucher will be sent out on the same day under
plain cover.
