golf, Great day! Queen’s Park Golf Course, a
rural haven set in the middle of Bournemouth,
celebrated it’s centenary last year. Once a
regular on the European tour, the course has
hosted many major professional tournaments
including players of the calibre of Tony Jacklin,
Henry Cotton and Seve Ballesteros.
There remains a distinct
sense of history as well as a very mature and
challenging course. The fairways meander freely
through many acres of lovely heathers, colourful
gorse and all in a wonderful pine woodland
setting. The greens are fast and true, providing
a good challenge to even the best golfers. The
course is in great condition, the best it’s been
for years and is an ideal venue for your
Society. To make things easier for you, golf
balls and tees etc are available for purchase
and there are buggies, trolleys and clubs for
hire. We have a number of different society
options available, guaranteed to give you a day

Lakes Course, a lovely
18 hole, 6200 yard, par 72 meadowland course
that runs beside the River Stour. Mature trees
and lakes make for a thoroughly enjoyable
challenge. Short Course, 9 holes par 3, covering
1000 yards. Great for children and beginners,
and anyone wanting to improve their short game.
Practice Range; The first
practice range in the world with 18 proper
target greens and easy Tees. Floodlights and
heated bays make practising easy day and night,
all year round. Putting Greens; One of the
largest greens in the country, with contours so
you can practice every type of putt. Iford Golf
School; the easiest way to learn and improve
your skills. Clubhouse; our clubhouse has a bar
and restaurant and offers full facilities for
Conferences, Weddings, functions and private
parties.

The Club's 18 hole golf course, established in
1894, is set in 120 acres of undulating scenic
parkland. With its recent renovation, the course
evokes memories of the days when Meyrick Park
was the golfing jewel of the South Coast. The
Club's demanding test of golf and rich heritage
draws golfers from all over Europe. The course
features verdant, tree lined fairways. From the
244 yard opening par 3, where the drive is over
a valley to a small green cut into a hill, to
the highly acclaimed par 5 14th hole, golfers
are confronted with numerous an memorable
challenges.
