quietly sitting on the bank of a small pool, standing
waist high in waders in a swift-flowing river, or
fighting to land a large fish out at sea, in Sussex

Passie's main
lake is a lake of approximately 4 acres
and the match lake consists of 6 acres.
It is reserved for day ticket anglers and
major league matches only (2 or 3 a year
- check events).
There are 50 permanent pegs with many
features to fish to. It is designed,
hopefully, to eliminate hot spots as much
as possible.
The Lake's depth is approx 4ft near the bank. The
main lake was opened on June 16th 1990 and can be
fished from dawn till dusk in the summer and 7am
till dusk in the Winter. No club matches will be
allowed and no pre-booking of pegs (first come,
first served). Our Match lake has 68 pegs which
can be pre-booked by clubs, as a whole or in part.
New for 2007 2nd match lake with 20 pegs.
Day Tickets can be obtained from a hut on-site.
Please place monies in the envelope provided and
write your name, and car registration number on
the outside, and place it in the wall safe. Your
name will be checked by wardens patrolling during
the day. (Please bring correct money as no change
can be given). Tackle shop on-site sells a good
range of tackle, clothing and baits. Toilets and
tea/coffee making facilities available.

Two 36 peg lakes + specimen lake. Quiet country
setting. Carp low doubles in match lakes, Tench
8lbs, Bream 5lbs. Bigger carp etc. specimen
lake. Usual bread, meat, corn etc.
Wylands International Angling Centre is situated
two miles from the historic town of Battle along
Powdermill Lane which adjoins the site where the
Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066. The
Centre occupies some 154 acres of rural
countryside and comprises about 50 acres each of
water, woodland and pasture. It provides sport
for anglers of all ages and abilities from
tiddler bashing to specimen hunting and provides
facilities for the disabled. With three
specialist carp lakes holding specimens in
excess of 20lb and five multi-specimen lakes
which are also ideal for the juniors, Wylands
International Angling Centre also boasts the
country's largest single match lake at two miles
in length and with some 205 pegs. Night Fishing
is allowed and on-site accommodation includes
self-catering chalets, touring caravans and a
camping site. An ideal venue for all the family,
there is a Snack Bar, Woodland Walks and both
Gents and Ladies Toilets.
Hassocks and district angling society offer
angling newcomers days, run in conjunction with
the Environment Agency. All licences,
memberships, tackle and bait are provided free.
The club is running two days in 2007, June 9th
and August 11th, both at Decoy Lake near East
Hoathly.
Fishing available all year from 8.30am til dusk,
except Christmas Day & New Years Day. The
fishery is situated in an attractive woodland
valley on the Duke of Norfolk's Estate at
Arundel, West Sussex. Chalk Springs was
established in 1984 on the site of old
watercress beds. There are 4 lakes totalling
about 5 acres.
The fishery is fed by natural springs, helping
to keep the lakes cool and crystal clear
throughout the year. The excellent clarity of
the water offers fishermen a unique opportunity
to stalk high quality brown and rainbow trout. A
wide variety of insects and wildlife including
deer, kingfishers and little grebes can often be
seen around the lakes. The Fishing Lodge at the
waters edge provides shelter from the elements.

Boringwheel Trout Fishery

Situated in the heart of the Ashdown Forest,
Just off the A22 at Nutley, this 400 year old
spring-fed lake offers 6.5 acres of peace and
tranquillity for the discerning trout fisherman.
A second lake has been set aside for brown trout
only. Fishing is from 9am until dusk, 7days a
week and to ensure a catch at all times the lake
is regularly stocked with rainbows and browns up
to specimen size. This is carried out every two
weeks at the ratio of 100 fish per acre - this
means the the fish levels never fall below 650.
Boringwheel offers first class hard-fighting
fish on a water which once used to power a mill
producing the guns for England's medieval fleet
of warships. The lake takes its name from the
historic mill.
Duncton Mill Fishery

Set amid glorious countryside at the foot of the
South Downs, the fishery comprises three lakes,
purpose built in 1985. The fishery is little
more than an hour's drive from London, and 12
miles from the South Coast. The eight acres of
chalk spring fed lakes are stocked regularly
with rainbow trout up to double figures. Brook,
Brown and Tiger Trout are stocked in the summer
months.
