A modern staging post on the
M1 motorway, Newport Pagnell was previously a
staging post for old-fashioned horse-drawn
coaches. The town has an iron-built bridge
spanning the River Ouze while the fine 18th
century house Chicheley Hall stands nearby. The
Hall – owned by the National Trust – contains a
naval museum. |
