Extended to 18 holes in 1992, this very hilly
wooded parkland course is on two levels. It is a
true test of skill tot he low handicap golfer,
as well as being a fair challenge to higher
handicap golfers. The surrounding woodland make
the course very scenic.
Once part of the property of Chequers, and under
the shadow of the famous monument at the
Wendover end of the Chilterns A downland course,
it is rather hilly with most holes enhanced by
far ranging views over the Aylesbury
countryside.
Silverstone Golf Club is
situated in the North Buckinghamshire
countryside on the Northamptonshire border. It
is surrounded by woodland, opposite the world
famous Grand Prix motor racing circuit.
Silverstone is a very challenging 18 hole
parkland course, that has a par of 72. It is
well suited to both high and low handicap
players. Golf societies and visitors welcome.
