Once home to the Scottish comedian Harry Lauder, who died in 1950, the pleasant country town of Strathaven lies on the River Avon, a tributary of the Clyde, and was once a centre for the local weaving industry. With no less than three public parks it’s a good place for a brisk walk. An added attraction is the hilltop ruin of Strathaven Castle.
Here we try to offer a wide selection from budget to luxury hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfast, B&B accommodation suitable for holidays, vacations or business travellers in Strathaven or surrounding areas.
