Peebles Golf Club,
overlooking the town and surrounded by the
Borders hills, has developed into one of the
best courses in the Borders and neighbouring
Edinburgh region and with a modern club house
it now boasts facilities to rival the best.
The testing course, originally developed by
Harry Colt, is just over 6,160 yards long, par
70 and features wide rolling fairways with some
magnificent views along the Tweed valley.
The course has a
challenging start with the opening four holes
played mainly into the prevailing wind, but is
more generous from the fifth onwards.
|
|
 |
The back nine has a more
forgiving start but, from the fourteenth
onwards, the closing five holes often prove very
tricky.
