Dating back to 1178, Arbroath Abbey features a visitors centre dedicated to the full history of the abbey and its role in the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320.

Brechin Cathedral & Round Tower

Off the A933, Brechin

One of the two remaining free - standing round towers of the Irish type in Scotland. Built in the late 11th Century with a remarkable carved doorway. You can view the exterior of the tower and the adjacent church houses, a magnificent collection of carved stones.
