Lord and Lady Dalhousie extend a warm welcome to their home Brechin Castle at the ancient city of Brechin in the beautiful County of Angus in North East Scotland. Brechin Castle and the spectacular gardens are open to the public in May/June each year. Brechin Castle stands proud on a massive bluff of rocks above the River Southesk on the site of a much older fortress belonging to the Scottish kings. The present house was last reconstructed in the early 1700's and incorporates parts of the original Castle dating back to the 13th Century.

Fishing is let over the Upper and Lower Beats of the Edzell Water (West Bank only) on the River North Esk. The Middle Beat is not included. There are ten named pools. Maximum 3 Rods. Boat fishing on Loch Lee - Loch Lee at Invermark is one of those special wild fisheries. Up to 90 feet deep it not only offers excellent fly fishing for brown trout but also for ferox and landlocked arctic char, not to mention the chance of a salmon making its way to the spawning areas upstream.

The programme includes walked up rough shooting, pigeon, rabbits, grouse, partridge, snipe and wild fowl. Also duck flighting available and in the summer months, roebuck stalking. Grouse and pheasant shooting with single shooting days available. Stag Stalking day lets available. Hind stalking - (November to February) up to 3 rifles. Driven pheasant shooting (up to 8 guns).
