Hotel is situated on the southern
peninsula known as the 'garden of Skye'.
The hotel is set on a two acre site in an
elevated position overlooking Knock Bay,
the ruins of the ancient Knock Castle,
the Sound of Sleat and the Knoydart
Hills.

The
hotel has had extensive refurbishment and
has 9 attractive en-suite bedrooms, most
bedrooms having feature beds and six of the
en-suites have baths, all have pressurised
showers. |
There are direct dial
telephones/e-mail access, television (including
Sky), tea making facilities, hairdryers etc. A
splendid restaurant and drawing room with its
comfortable furniture and open fire provides a
relaxed environment. The hotel is a totally
non-smoking establishment. The restaurant operates
with 3 professional chefs under the watchful eye
of Peter Woods (Head Chef & Master Chef UK). The
menu includes Modern Scottish cuisine with a
"French twist". Local "in season" produce is
used whenever possible. Many attractions to
visit whilst on the island include The Clan
Donald Centre, Gardens, Museum of the Isles and
Gaelic College. Daily sailing
excursions to areas inaccessible by car.

The Duisdale
House Hotel is set in lovely gardens
which surround the hotel and extend to
about 30 acres of wooded hillside.
There are
breathtaking views across the sea to the
hills of Knoydart.
The Duisdale
was built as a great hunting Lodge for
the Chief of the Clan MacDonald in the
1860's. |

accommodation comprises of a wide choice of

Located in an idyllic area known as the Garden of
Skye the Duisdale stands proudly midway between
the Skye Bridge (toll free) and the Armadale ferry
terminal and en-route to the fishing port of
Mallaig and Fort William beyond. There is also a
unique opportunity to sail on the Duisdale's
owners' private yacht. Capt. Ken Gunn and his wife
Anne will look after you for the day on 'Solus na
Mara' a 42' Jeanneau Sun Odyssey DS. This new
yacht sails daily except Sunday, from Armadale. A
light homemade lunch, using freshly made bread,
highland smoked meats, local cheese and locally
grow salad leaves is served on board. This is a
full day excursion exclusive to guests.
