Horseriding holiday activities can vary
from an experienced rider simply hiring a horse for the
odd hour to residential riding courses for absolute
beginners. This section is intended to include

This riding school is situated on the outskirts
of Edinburgh and is approved by the British
Riding Schools. It provides both indoor and
outdoor tuition. Activities such as trekking and
hacking excursions are available across the
surrounding countryside and professional
instruction is on offer for every age group and
every level of riding experience. There's also a
saddlery and feed shop on site.

The Harelaw Equestrian Centre offers beautiful
beach rides to the east coast, just outside
Edinburgh, for experienced riders. For the more
novice rider they offer excursions along safe
off-road tracks. Other activities available
include pony trekking, hacking and instruction.
They are happy to welcome disabled riders and
equine owners.
Outdoor hacking and trekking. Riding tuition
indoor/outdoor. Evening and jumping classes.
Tiny tots walks & lessons. Hires for Border
common rides. Indoor and grass livery.
