Traditionally associated with Henry Aimbreidh O'Neill (died 1392), the origin of the castle remains unknown, with estimates placing it somewhere between the 14th and 15th century. Part of "The Journey In Time " Archaelogical Tour.

Built in 1823 on the former site of the Old Goal house by John Hargrave, the building is reportedly haunted by a friendly ghost.

17th century castle overlooking the River Derg, once a site of strategic importance. Admission is free to the ruins of Sir John Davies Castle.

Built in 1619, in the style of contemporary English Manor house by Sir Robert Newcomen. Consequently, Stewart Castle suffered extensive damage during two battles, leaving the ruined remains in the care of the state.
